Studies and Assessments

Waste Management Concepts
Our employees have been drawing up waste management concepts for companies, municipalities and regions since the 1980s. Especially in countries with little waste management infrastructure, this groundwork is a crucial basis for further developments.
At the beginning, the initial waste management situation is surveyed and analyzed. The objectives are then defined and the necessary measures are derived from them.
Assessments
IUT’s expertise is used to check compliance with environmental laws, environmental standards or the contents of contracts under private law. The Austrian environmental subsidies for the remediation and safeguarding of contaminated sites in accordance with the Environmental Subsidies Act have already been evaluated several times. Waste treatment plants were also checked to ensure that they were state of the art.
As part of due diligence assessments, the technical performance of waste treatment facilities or disposal companies is evaluated.
Waste analyses
Knowledge of the composition of waste streams forms the basis for further waste management planning and the design of treatment plants. Our employees have been carrying out sorting analyses of waste in various countries and for a wide range of tasks since the 1980s. Chemical analyses are carried out in cooperation with accredited external laboratories.
Studies
A central area of responsibility is the implementation of feasibility studies for waste management facilities. The technical and logistical framework conditions for the construction of a plant are analyzed in detail. In addition, possible process sequences are compared with each other and profitability calculations are prepared.
These studies provide essential decision-making foundations for operators and help minimize investment risks.
