Fire and Explosion Protection

Fire Protection
Fires are one of the most common causes of production downtime in industrial plants. Effective fire protection is therefore in the best interests of every company.
In order to develop and implement a customized fire protection concept, in-depth knowledge of the legal and normative requirements as well as practical experience in implementing measures are essential. Structural, operational and organizational requirements must be met.
The effectiveness of protective measures is also evaluated by us after incidents, ensuring continuous development and optimization.
Explosion Protection
According to the Ordinance on Explosive Atmospheres (ATEX), the explosion hazards must be determined and assessed for each workplace. On this basis, an explosion protection document must be created and kept up to date at all times.
The greatest challenge in creating such documents often lies in clearly defining the hazard zones. If the definition is too far-reaching, which is often the result of uncertainties in the assessment of the plant, this can lead to unnecessarily large hazard zones. This in turn results in significant restrictions for operations.
In order to limit these restrictions to the necessary extent, an expert assessment by appropriately trained and experienced technicians is essential. This is the only way to avoid an unnecessary expansion of the danger zones without the company taking risks or violating normative regulations.
